Spiderman Party Games - 3 Ideas

Spiderman party games are a must for a proper Spiderman birthday party. Matching your activities to your theme can make the experience all the better. A little imagination and you will have a memorable event that is the envy of every kid in attendance.

First is a twist on the classic birthday party game Pin the Tail on the Donkey. For this game you will need a printer, pushpins and some heavy, preferably corrugated, cardboard. Begin by searching the internet for images of Spiderman villains such as The Green Goblin and The Kingpin, then print and cut them out.

Using the piece of cardboard as your background, paste each villain onto it and use a marker to mark points according to how much each villain is "worth". This game is called Spidey's Rogues Gallery and each child gets a blindfold and a pushpin for each hand. The idea is to have each child use their "web" (the pushpins) to catch villains by pinning them. The child who gets the highest number of points, wins.

Our second idea for Spiderman party games is to either buy or make a Spiderman villain pinata. Pinatas can be made very easily and cheaply using paper mache and common household items. You will also need a piece of wood to use as a platform. A piece of two by four lumber cut to around 3 feet will suffice.

The wood represents the edge of a building where Spiderman must fight his enemy. Each child is to stand on the wood, which is placed just out of arms' reach of the pinata. Using a baseball bat, the children will be given three swings each. The winner is the one who knocks the pinata open, but with a pinata everyone wins.

To add a bit more to this game, explain that the person with the bat gets blindfolded and must rely on their spider-sense. Children get two spider-sense call outs per turn, which are activated by saying "spider-sense". For example, if a child swings and misses they can call out for spider-sense and the other guests will tell them which direction to swing in. This adds a level of excitement for all attendees.

What would Spiderman party games be without some actual webs? Cans of Silly String can make a game of tag a lot more fun and actually shoots out similarly to Spiderman's webs. In the interest of safety, make sure to tell the guests not to shoot anyone in the eye.

But for an even better Spiderman game, hang plastic spiders from strings at varying distances. Mark on the floor with tape how much each distance is worth in points. Establish a shooting distance that will be challenging but not frustrating and have each child use their silly string to try and hit the spiders.

Assign someone to keep score for the game and then hand out a prize to those with the most points. To be a little more economical and not run out of silly string too quickly, limit each guest to 5 ? second bursts with their webbing. A few inexpensive items and a little creativity can help you come up with your own ideas for Spiderman party games.
